Top 10 Most Beautiful Australian Beaches

Australia is known for  its pristine beaches so it is very hard to narrow it down to the top 10 elite but here is Harvey world Travel’s pick, and you don’t need to be a surfer to enjoy them!

Number 1. Kiama Beach,  New South Wales.
Known for the famous whale like ‘Blowhole’ a rock formation caused by thousands of years of erosion that spits up a fountain of water as the tide comes in. The nearby park equipped with picnic tables and barbeques makes it the perfect beach for a family escape.

Number 2. Bells Beach, Victoria.
Famous for its world-renowned Easter Surfing Classic, is located near Torquay on the southern coast of Victoria, 71 km south-west of Melbourne. This is a must see for surfers  but it’s a little off the beaten track.

Number 3. Cottesloe Beach, Perth.
Perth’s famed Cottesloe beach is located roughly halfway between Perth City and Fremantle and his home to Perth’s elite, it is to Perth what Bondi is to Sydney.

Number 4. Whitehaven beach, Queensland.
No list would be complete without adding the Whitsundays, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef – a snorkelers paradise! Crystal clear aqua waters and pristine silica sand of Whitehaven stretch over seven kilometres along Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays.

Number 5. Wattamolla Beach, New South Wales.
Tucked away deep into the Sydney Royal National Park this stunning stretch of beach is not quite what you would expect to find deep in the bush.  Featuring a waterfall and pristine lagoon that runs off into a turquoise see it is easy to spend hours enjoying the scenery.

Number 6. Cable Beach, Western Australia.
Famed for the stunning sun sets and ‘Stairway to the moon’  Cable Beach is the perfect place to sit back and watch the world go by.

Number 7. Byron Bay Beach, New South Wales.
The Cape Byron Lighthouse dominates Australia’s most easterly point and is a popular place to visit for its spectacular views.

Number 8. Turtle Bay, Queensland.
Turtle Bay is an unknown treat. Even locals in the Cairns region do not know the qualities of this beach that is right on their doorstep. If you have the means, take a trip to this wonderful place, Turtle Bay.

Number 9. Coral Bay, Western Australia.
Turtle nesting occurs on local beaches between November and February. The Green, Loggerhead and Hawkesville turtles are often seen in the shallows and by the reef as part of one of the many tours operated locally.

Number 10. Yorke Peninsula, South Australia.
Renowned for their cruisy atmosphere and laidback lifestyle, the beaches of Yorke Peninsula are great places to go swimming, surfing, fishing or on a family picnic.
